Chad Prather: 'I was in 10th grade with raging hormones ... the last thing on my mind was politics'

We should not lower the voting age to 16

"Humor Me with Chad Prather" host Chad Prather challenged the Democrats' latest bad idea that proposed lowering the voting age in the United States from 18 to 16.

"The world, yet again, has proven that it is crazy," Chad began. "We've got a lot of politicians out there pushing to have the voting age lowered to 16, you have to be kidding me."

"When I was 16, I could barely figure out how to open my high school locker every day. I was in 10th grade with raging hormones, pimples, chasing girls, and taking geometry for the second time. The last thing on my mind was politics," Chad said.

In Chad's experience, he did not want to get out of bed much less try to understand the fundamentals of the Electoral College at age 16.

According to the New York Times, Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi believes that 16-year-olds should be allowed to vote — a position that she claims to have held for years.

"What they need to do is change the requirement so that an Alzheimer's patient can't be speaker of the House," Chad said.

Chad asserted that 16-year-old kids do not pay taxes, do not have dependents, do not have to pay for health insurance, because they are too busy playing World of Warcraft and Fortnite on a gaming system that they didn't even buy themselves.

"I'm not saying they are dumb — but they are dumb," Chad said.

Chad asked how can Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic Party pass legislation in 2009 to allow Americans to stay on their parents' insurance policy until age 26, and then, 10 years later, decide they want to lower the voting age to 16?

"Should they be allowed to buy guns, smokes, and booze? Should we send them to war, Nancy? Should we let them get legally married, fly a commercial airliner and run for office too?" Chad asked.
