In a press conference House Democrats held today to bloviate over the controversy with retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md. (F, 14%), was caught red-handed quoting from a fake Twitter account to bash the now-former Trump administration national security adviser.
In his defense, he was just following the lead from Queen Democrat herself, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. (F, 10%), who went off on Flynn for a full two minutes over the word “scapegoat.”

“I’m going to make a tweet myself. It’s not scapegoat, it’s stonewall.” Meanwhile, everyone on the internet was like this:
Pelosi going after Flynn for this scapegoat tweet. it's not a real account!— Sam Stein (@Sam Stein) 1487094856.0
When an aide told Pelosi the tweets were fake, she reportedly turned to him and said, I kid you not, “What do you mean it’s fake?!”

Oof. That look on her face is priceless.
The greatest part of this story, though, is that both of these Democrats fell for the fake account because the New York Times fell for it first.
