Guess what Chris Cuomo's 'biggest crime' was that got him suspended. It wasn't going after his brother's accusers or even lying to the public.

The right — as well as most of civilized society — experienced massive schadenfreude this week when CNN suspended Chris Cuomo indefinitely for unethically covering for his brother, ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and trying to dig up dirt to discredit the former Love Gov's sexual abuse accusers.

Though the cable outlet didn't fire Cuomo (who reportedly gets $6 million a year for his low-rated show) — leading some to speculate that he's getting the Toobin treatment (which saw Zoom-meeting masturbator Jeffrey Toobin return to the airwaves a few months after his "incident") and will be back when everything blows over — there was celebration when CNN said the nighttime host was out.

Why did Cuomo get the boot? Some would expect it was because he lied to his audience about his involvement with his brother's scandals.

Others might assume it was because he used his position in media to try to scandalize sexual abuse accusers — especially since the liberal media have repeatedly told Americans that they must believe all accusers.

But no. What got the man many call "Fredo" in trouble was that he lied to CNN chief Jeff Zucker, according to the New York Post.

A CNN source said the email and text evidence showing Cuomo used his media connections to help his brother try to beat the sexual harassment raps that forced the disgraced former governor to leave office "was the straw that broke the camel's back."

According to CNN insiders, Zucker "hit the roof," the Post reported, when he saw the documentation.

It wasn't the unethical behavior as a journalist and CNN host that got him in trouble, it was lying to the big boss.

Cuomo's "biggest crime was that he lied to Zucker," another source told the Post, adding, "He didn't own up to it."

Another source told the Post that the scuttlebutt inside CNN is that "it's over" for Cuomo, speculating, "I don't see how he survives this."
