'This is the message that America has been looking for': Glenn Beck's State of the Union address highlights
February 06, 2019
'Where else are you finding someone who is articulating the American vision?'
On Wednesday's radio program, Glenn Beck highlighted several of the most powerful moments during President Donald Trump's State of the Union address Tuesday night.
"This speech was so brilliantly written," Glenn said. "This is the speech I have waited for. This is the message that America has been looking for."
Glenn read a particularly moving excerpt from the end of the address, then exclaimed, "Holy cow, is that a great speech! Holy cow, is that what America is looking for!"
After listening to Trump's speech, Glenn concluded that the Americans who voted for Trump, including the 20 percent who voted at least once for former President Barack Obama, saw him as someone who would stand against the Democratic Party's far-left agenda.
"We are not a socialist nation. We will never be a socialist nation. We are a nation of dreamers and doers. We are a nation made up of individuals, we are not some collective. That's what people liked about Donald Trump," Glenn said. "That he had the balls to say it. You may not like, and I may not like, the things that he says, some of the things that he does, some of the things that he tweets, but where else are you finding someone who is articulating the American vision?"
