For a lot of conservatives pondering presidential possibilities, it may be time to think seriously about Mike Pence. The Indiana congressman's surprise win in the straw poll at the Values Voter Summit is certainly going to trigger that. Matt Lewis points out the the VVS poll shows Pence has appeal beyond fiscal issues:
To those who view Pence as primarily a fiscal conservative, his victory over Huckabee came as a surprise.But Pence, who spoke to the group on Friday, is a strong orator who isn't afraid to share his socially conservative values.
