"they’ve ruled out brain damage"
Over the weekend, we brought you the story of a Russian journalist beaten so badly he had to be placed in a medically-induced coma.
Oleg Kashin, 30, was attacked by two men while on his way home early Saturday morning. The reported video of the event shows the two men jump Kashin, beat him repeatedly, and then Kashin struggling to recover from the attack. A version of the video as reported by a Russian news outlet:

Over the weekend, Kashin underwent a second round of surgery. Doctors say it was successful and, after removing the bone fragments in his cranial cavity, that they’ve ruled out brain damage. His broken leg has been set, as has his jaw, which was fixed in the first operation so he could breathe.
