"Let's make this congress scared of us."
I have to admit, this is painful. But what more can you expect from a group of college students who paint their faces and read from crinkled up notebook paper?
Below is a video of a recent rally at Napa Valley College in support of the Dream Act -- a bill that would essentially create a way for illegal aliens to become citizens. The students below want it passed, and are railing against any proposed changes. Officially the students called their little gathering a "die in."
Some of the gems you'll find:
- The Democrats control "both Senates."
- The Dream Act wants to deport those "starving" on "three slices of pizza"
- The Republicans have taken over "one of the houses"
- A "right" to education
- The obligatory call and response: "What do we want? -- The Dream Act! When do we want it? -- Now!"
All that makes the line "Let's make this congress scared of us" -- the phrase worming its way through the internet -- almost laughable. You'll probably want to watch the whole thing, but in the same way you just can't turn away from a train wreck:
