Kalamazoo Strippers Had to Get Dressed at Midnight

"This is a day we've been waiting for."

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — A Kalamazoo club featuring totally nude dancers is being stripped of its right to bare all as part of a deal with the city.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports Friday that performers at Deja Vu will be required as of midnight to keep their bottoms on. That's when the agreement expires.

Kalamazoo passed an ordinance in 2004 banning full nudity in strip clubs. Deja Vu was grandfathered under the ordinance, but brokered the current deal with the city when it moved from Portage Street to Ravine Road.

Violating the ordinance carries a fine of up to $500 and up to 90 days in jail.
