Gingrich: Palin Should 'Slow Down' and 'Think Through What She's Saying
January 18, 2011
In what may be one of the earliest 2012 primary match-ups, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday morning offered some advice to one of his Republican colleagues, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Although Gingrich acknowledged Palin as a "phenomenon" for her ability to energize grassroots supporters, the former vice presidential candidate has a lot to learn before she will be considered a serious presidential candidate, Gingrich suggested.
Will Gingrich run in 2012? He's staying mum for now, but as Stephanopoulos notes, early activity in states like Iowa and New Hampshire seem to suggest he may be getting ready for a big announcement.
