The New York Times reports that two TSA agents who work(ed) at JFK have been charged with stealing $40,000 from a passenger's luggage:
According to the office of the Queens district attorney, Richard A. Brown, the officers took the cash from a passenger’s piece of luggage that had contained a total of $170,000 in cash.
Unfortunately they only report on the TSA guys who were nabbed. I was really hoping for a profile of the victim. I'd like to know more about the kind of person who would put $170,000 in their checked luggage. And I'd like to meet that person and introduce them to things like skepticism and banks.
