Naked Therapy? Not YOU, The Therapist.

Naked Therapy? Not YOU, The Therapist.

Fast on the heels of the story about Northwestern University's Human Sexuality class that earns high marks for honesty, comes a story that fits perfectly into the old "Only In New York"  file - Ladies and gents, meet the Naked Therapist.

Sarah White is 24 years old.  She is not a licensed therapist, but she holds "sessions" where people talk to her and she removes her clothes, all of them.  According to a story from the NY Daily News, Ms. White's therapy is initially an on-line, web cam chat costing $150 and hour.  So, you pay her to sit in front of a camera and remove her clothes.  Hard to believe that most professional therapists have a problem with this.

There is a happy ending to this story, but it is mostly for Sarah White.  Ms. White claims that she has 30 regular clients who pay her $150/hour on the low end.  If she only had four online counseling "sessions" a day, Monday-Friday, Sarah could earn $150,000 a year.  That's a rate of pay many professionals would salivate to achieve.
