New RNC Ad Connects Obama and His 'Union Bosses

"They made this mess."

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) -- The Republican National Committee is airing a new television ad in Wisconsin blaming President Barack Obama and "union bosses" for standing in the way of economic reform. And while the ad is first hitting the airwaves this week, when it debuted on the web last week one MSNBC host dubbed it "racist."

The ad seeks to bolster Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker as he pushes a measure that would take away most collective bargaining rights for state employees.

Walker says the move is needed to cover a $3.6 billion budget deficit. Unions claim it's a political ploy to weaken organized labor.

Obama has not visited Wisconsin since the protests began. But he has called Walker's proposal an assault on unions and warned governors not to vilify public workers.

The ad shows scenes of pro-union demonstrators, saying they are intimidating taxpayers and leaving classrooms empty. You may remember that when this ad first hit the internet last week, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell called it "racist" because it indicated Obama, a black man, has bosses.

The RNC ad runs this week in Madison and Milwaukee.
