In another epic rant from the floor Thursday, Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., unleashes his sarcasm to mock House Republicans for calling an emergency session to vote on a measure defunding National Public Radio (NPR).
"Crisis averted ladies and gentlemen, what a relief," Weiner exclaimed. "What a relief! I'm glad we got the economy back going. I'm glad we secured our nuclear power plants. I'm so glad the Americans are back to work."
I suppose Democrats' battle over keeping more earth-friendly forks in the congressional cafeterias is a better use of time...?
