Susan Lucci's home for 41 years is closing up shop.
After 41 years, over 10,000 hours of programming, and 166 Emmy Awards, ABC has cancelled their long-running soap opera 'All My Children' as well as 'One Life To Live. 'AMC's final show airs in September and OLTL will continue until January of 2011.
While the news was not a shock to anyone in the daytime television business it may be to legions of fans who have followed both shows for decades.
According to the ABC release, replacing 'AMC' will be 'The Chew' - a new program that will be all about food. From the producers of 'Paula Deen's Home Cooking' and 'Down Home with the Neelys,' the show will feature Mario Batali, 'What Not to Wear' stylist Clinton Kelly, 'Top Chef' veteran Carla Hall.
