You may have seen MSNBC's new "Lean Forward" advertising campaign featuring host Rachel Maddow using the Hoover Dam to exemplify projects of "national significance" that benefit us all. If not, here it is:
Delivering a one-two punch, conservative pundit Mary Katharine Ham uses Maddow's same sentiment to wonder why a small dog park in an affluent northwest D.C. neighborhood is also a national project, supported by taxpayers:
Don't be fooled, America. This is no ordinary dog park -- it's state-of-the-art! The installed astroturf and sloped landscape are specifically designed to whisk away stagnant dog urine so the neighborhood doesn't get too smelly.
Money well spent, obviously.
