Allen West Responds to Weinergate Question at Town Hall by Cracking Jokes

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) was at a town hall meeting last night when he was asked if he thought Rep. Anthony Weiner (embroiled in a steamy photo scandal with multiple women) should resign. He responded by cracking a couple jokes.

The first one was a play off of Weiner's name. After the person who asked the question mispronounced Weiner's name, West corrected him by exaggerating the correct pronunciation. "First of all it's Weeener," he said while laughing.

He then vowed to his family and his constituents, "I'm not going to let you down." But he quickly quipped again, "at the end of the day I'm too tired." The crowd erupted in laughter and applause:
