Minor passenger dispute followed by weapons blazing.
The video from a violent gun attack in Philadelphia last month has just been releases. And it's shocking.
According to prosecutors, two gunmen unleashed a hail of bullets into a city bus after a female passenger had a minor spat with a stranger. A hail of bullets ripped through the bus, creating havoc among passengers, but amazingly nobody was injured.
WNYW-TV reported the sequence of events as described by Philadelphia prosecutors. Penny Chapman, shown in the video, spanked her child for misbehaving on the bus. A bystander expressed disapproval and threatened to call the police for child abuse. That's when things turned ugly.
Chapman allegedly made a phone call to a group of individuals, who met the bus at the next stop. One of those individuals, apparently the child's uncle, held the rear door of the bus open to allow Chapman and her son off -- and then the gunmen took their positions.
Two men, one with a pistol, the other with an assault rifle, fired off 5 rounds through the windows and several more at other targets.
Despite wild gunfire, miraculously nobody was hurt, as the bus driver hit the gas and everyone on board escaped.
Watch the startling broad daylight shooting yourself below:
But the most incredible part? Now Philadelphia defense attorneys are claiming that since nobody was hurt, no assault took place.
