Rep. Frederica Wilson: 'The Real Enemy is the Tea Party

"The Tea Party holds the Congress hostage."

Last night at a town hall meeting in Miami sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus, the subject was supposed to be jobs, but Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D- FL) turned it to partisan politics and told assembled job seekers:

"Let us all remember who the real enemy is... the real enemy is the Tea Party... the Tea Party holds the Congress hostage."

Congresswoman Maxine Waters, herself known for vitriolic anti-Tea Party rhetoric, and the Reverend Jesse Jackson were also present at the town hall. The stated intent of the gathering was to hold a preview discussion of a mega jobs fair in Miami held today.

At least one citizen, an older woman, walked out of the meeting last night in disgust and told CBS 4 News:

"We expected more than this. We did not come here for politics, we came here for solutions."
