Remember Timothy Geithner joking about getting fired Wednesday? It looks like Democratic Strategist James Carville thinks... maybe he should be.
In an op-ed for CNN.com, Carville offered this bit of wisdom to President Obama: "The course we are on is not working. The hour is late, and the need is great. Fire. Indict. Fight." And when he says "fire" and "indict," he doesn't name anyone, but he says a lot of people in Obama's administration should probably go:
Fire somebody.No -- fire a lot of people. This may be news to you but this is not going well.
[...]
For God's sake, why are we still looking at the same political and economic advisers that got us into this mess? It's not working.
Furthermore, it's not going to work with the same team, the same strategy and the same excuses. I know economic analysts are smart -- some work 17-hour days. It's time to show them the exit. Wake up -- show us you are doing something.
This isn't the first time the spicy Cajun has come down on the president. He was pretty sassy about Obama's reaction to the BP oil spill, too:
