A protest by the controversial Westboro Baptist Church received a counter-protest of their own Friday from the Foo Fighters. The rock band gave a serenade in front of the Sprint Center in Kansas City to the protesters who are known for controversial assemblies, including picketing the funerals of US soldiers killed overseas.
The band poked fun at the organization by dressing in redneck costumes and singing lyrics alluding to the Westboro Baptist Church's anti-homosexual views.
NBC Action News reports that many states, including Missouri, have passed or attempted to pass laws that would restrict the type of protests that the church is known for, but the Supreme Court has repeatedly sided with the church.
