Want to start doing yoga but classic courses require flexibility and positions outside your wheelhouse? Perhaps "Laughter Yoga" is for you:
ITN News reports that laughter yoga is the new craze in health-conscious Vietnam. More and more Vietnamese have begun to participate in 45-minute courses in Hanoi every morning, rain or shine.
"Laughter makes us become younger, relaxed and comfortable. When I practice this, I forget all my sadness," 60-year-old retired artist Vu Hong Diem told Sky News. "It clears my mind and so I can come home to do my chores as usual."
The combination of unconditional laughter and yogic breathing is said to stretch muscles and trigger endorphins. Advocates claim laughter yoga makes participants more friendly, leading to a more friendly society.
