Wayne Newton's creepy endorsement of Michele Bachmann

After Tuesday night's GOP debate in Las Vegas, Congresswoman and candidate Michele Bachmann went "On The Record" and appeared on Greta Van Susteren's Fox News program, standing alongside Vegas icon, Wayne Newton. The Lounge Legend was on hand to give his ringing endorsement of Bachmann's Presidential bid, but it also seemed like Mr. Newton thought that maybe... just maybe, he and Michele might become more than friends.

I recall being a tad uncomfortable by the 69-yr-old Newton's adoring stares, glowing rhetoric, and tight grip on Bachmann. Even Greta seemed to be uncomfortable with it and remarked, "It looks like you're on a date!" Then my "creep-o-meter" hit the max as Wayne moved in for a kiss at the end of the interview. (Bachmann skillfully turned her mouth away and the effort landed high on her cheek.)

At least nobody said "Danke Schoen."
