Patriotic Millionaires Demand Congress Raise Their Taxes, Then Refuses to Donate to Government

A group of self-proclaimed “patriotic millionaires” went down to Capitol Hill and demanded Congress raise their taxes. To test the veracity of their purported desire to give more, a reporter with The Daily Caller asked several "patriots" present if they'd be willing to make a personal donation -- right then and there -- to the U.S. Department of Treasury. Not shockingly, each one refused. Some even called the idea flat-out "silly."

Fox News Insider adds:

Fields joined Neil Cavuto and revealed that none of the people she approached were willing to donate any money. She said, “When you truly believe that something is right, you’re willing to do it even if no one else is doing it because you believe in that and you think that’s right. Obviously these people don’t really think what they are doing is right if they’re not willing to put forth the money.”
