It seems inconceivable that anyone would engage in such bad-karma-inducing behavior as public urination when playing a close game against the human wrecking ball of faith, fate and intangibles that is Tim Tebow. But that's the kind of season the San Diego Chargers are having.
With time winding down during a crucial division matchup against the surging Denver Broncos, Chargers kicker Nick Novak took a knee not to mock Tebow, but to relieve himself on the sideline as the tied game was approaching overtime:
The superstitious types must have been throwing their remotes at the screen.
Novak would go on to miss his chance to win the game in overtime, kicking a 53-yard attempt short and wide. That was all the growing legend of Tim Tebow needed, as the unconventional lefty quarterback would then lead the Broncos down the field to set up a game winning 37-yard field goal for Matt Prater.
Next time Novak will likely hold it in.
