Newt Gingrich believes he owes his current status as a frontrunner in the presidential race to his wife Callista. "I don't think I'd be here today without her," he said in an interview with CBN. He said she's the one who told him to just "get to the debates" as his campaigned struggled through the summer.
Callista is no Gloria Cain. She's often seen on the campaign trail, though she hardly talks with reporters. In the video below, she gives a rare interview with CBN (14:40 mark). She described her and Newt as "a team" and said it was "a joint decision" for him to run for president.
