Quick question: Has your boss ever made you do something that was not part of your normal job duties, only to find that your normal job suffers because of it? Well that's exactly what happened to KTLA-TV (Los Angeles) weatherman Henry DiCarlo this week. The only difference between him and you? He got to tell the world he was unhappy.
As TV Spy notes, DiCarlo was sent out to do a local interview one morning this week. Innocent enough. However, when it came time for him to deliver the weather, he was apparently told that there was no time for that. That's when he cut loose:
“When you send a weatherman out to do the weather, but you’re also sending him to do a story, you might want to give him a little extra time,” DiCarlo said testily upon finding out there wasn’t time for the forecast [...] . “But that’s just me.”
“Did Henry DiCarlo just have a fit on live TV?” Chris Schauble asked his co-anchor, Megan Henderson.
“I don’t think he’s happy,” Henderson replied. “We’ll work on that.”
You can watch it below, which includes DiCarlo seemingly walking off set, or rather off camera, in a huff:
