Did Tom Hanks break John Kerry's face?

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) was seen Monday at the White House (and Tuesday at President Barack Obama's State of the Union address) with his face all busted up. His spokesperson said it was from breaking his nose while playing in a recent hockey game, but didn't say who Kerry was playing with.

The Daily is reporting that it's possible Kerry's faced was clobbered by actor Tom Hanks!
