Santorum adviser goes after Romney's dog problem.

John Brabender, a top adviser to Rick Santorum, showed what reaching looks like today in an interview with CNN today.

When asked to respond to comments by Mitt Romney that Santorum's campaign is "desperate," Brabender said, "Quite frankly, I'm not sure I'm going to listen to a value judgment of a guy who strapped his own dog on the top of a car and went hurling down the highway."

Brabender, sounding the exact opposite of desperate, was referring to the time Romney said he once strapped the family dogSeamus in a kennel to the roof of his car on a road trip.
