On MSNBC today Alice Stewart, spokeswoman for Rick Santorum's campaign, brought upMitt Romney's dog problem. "If you can't be nice to your dog, who you gonna be nice to?," Stewart said. She's referring to the time Romney said he once strapped the old family dogSeamus in a kennel to the roof of his car on a road trip to Canada.

Last week, Santorum campaign adviser John Brabendersaid on CNN, "Quite frankly, I‘m not sure I’m going to listen to a value judgment of a guy who strapped his own dog on the top of a car and went hurling down the highway."
