New Nickname? Maxine Waters Calls Romney 'Mitt Rot-ney

"Oh my goodness, we're at risk!"

She's told the Tea Party they "can go straight to hell" and called House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor “demons.”  Now, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) may have debuted a new nickname for GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney: He's "Mitt Rot-ney."

Waters made the remark Thursday night during an appearance on MSNBC's "The Ed Show." National Organization for Women President Terry O'Neill first defended Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen's comments that Ann Romney "never worked a day in her life" and questioned whether the former Massachusetts governor and his wife have "the kind of life experience" and "imagination" to understand the plight of American families.

Waters added: "The Republicans have now raised this issue in this campaign in ways that young women now understand; oh my goodness, we're at risk! We have taken two steps forward, and this administration, under Mitt Rot-ney, would take us backwards.

The Jane Dough observed:

It could have been a mistake or stumble over words, but we hope she meant what she said, as “Rot-ney” is funnier than the lame “Mittens” nickname.
