A New York Times profile of Rep Paul Ryan's (R-Wisc.) rise as a power player in the GOP has some good info on Mitt Romney's potential VP pick.
- Ryan likes the band Rage Against the Machine, described by AllMusic.com as producing "bombastic, fiercely polemical music, which brewed sloganeering leftist rants against corporate America, cultural imperialism, and government oppression into a Molotov cocktail of punk, hip-hop, and thrash."
- He wrestles catfish.
- He used to serve at the restaurant Tortilla Coast (a Mexican restaurant I tried recently; it sucks).
- At 16, Ryan was the one to find his dad's body after he died of a heart attack.
- He once took the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile "for a spin."
