Charles Barkley Gets Political Again During NBA Broadcast: We're Going to Beat Romney 'Like a Drum

"you're going down, bro"

Former NBA star and current NBA analyst Charles Barkley just can't seem to keep from mixing sports and politics. During a Sunday broadcast on TNT, Barkley took several shots at Mitt Romney after Romney was spotted attending the playoff game Between the Hawks and Celtics. And it isn't the first time the Weight Watchers spokesman has used his sports TV platform to preach politics.

"We're going to beat you like a drum in November," Barkley said when Romney flashed on the screen. "Don't take it personally. You seem like a nice guy, but you're going down, bro."

HuffPo has the video:

This isn't the first time Barkley has gotten political during a basketball broadcast. In March, during the NCAA tournament, he blasted co-host Greg Anthony, saying that Anthony was a typical Republican who was blaming "everything on the president." That outburst followed the rather benign suggestion from Anthony that a tournament game might have been delayed for security reasons because Obama was attending.

As HuffPo notes, Barkley was once a Republican but switched to Democrat.
