Police Reportedly Seek Bisexual Porn Star in Canadian Dismemberment Case

"Gruesome video has surfaced, seemingly taken by the porn star, showing the violent crime being committed"

Canada is seemingly in the middle of its own OJ Simpson-type case, where all eyes are on a particular crime.

The story began when a severed foot was mailed to Conservative Party headquarters in Toronto, and continued when a torso was found in a suitcase in Montreal, and a hand was intercepted in the postal system.

Police were initially flummoxed, but quickly identified Luka Rocco Magnotta as a suspect, issuing a nationwide manhunt.

Who is this Magnotta?  According to reports, he is a low-budget porn star with a large presence on the Internet and, perhaps not surprisingly, he has allegedly posted videos of cats being tortured and killed.

The National Post explains that gruesome video has surfaced, seemingly taken by the porn star, showing the violent crime being committed:

A video which purportedly shows a suspect wanted in connection with the Ottawa-Montreal body parts case brutally killing and sexually assaulting a naked man appears on a Canadian-operated website.

Police are now studying the gruesome video [was] believed to have been taken by the suspect, identified today by police as Luka Rocco Magnotta.

[...]

In the past, Magnotta was rumoured to have been romantically linked to Karla Homolka, ex-wife of notorious killer Paul Bernardo, who served 12 years in prison for her role in the murders of [school girls] Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.

Magnotta, however, vigorously denied those allegations, telling the Toronto Sun in 2007 he had never even met Homolka.

Montreal police said other body parts were found in the apartment where the homicide [allegedly] took place, but wouldn’t say which ones.

They aren’t ruling out other body parts being sent in the mail.  [Emphasis added]

Sun News has more information on the apartment and the video (disturbing, but largely censored):

Police are reportedly in possession of the incriminating video, which was originally posted on "Best Gore."

The National Post summarized, in text, what the suspect allegedly did in said video, but it's too graphic to read unwittingly.  Click here to read their synopsis.

Magnotta has long complained about "unfounded rumors" being posted about him online, though the Huffington Post notes that he may have actually helped perpetuate such rumors.

"It wasn't done by accident," the police Commander reiterated. "That's what we know. What was the exact link, we don't know right now.
