It happened during a baseball game between St. John's Jesuit and Fremont Ross in Ohio: The ball is knocked straight up, St. John’s catcher Corey Tipton makes a grab for it, the ball bounces off Tipton's glove, and pitcher Joe Robie makes an amazing diving catch.
The amount of effort and finesse put into this tag team play is, well, awesome:
“The Toledo Blade said the game (won by St. John’s – i.e. Robie’s and Tipton’s team) ‘will be remembered for its wild sixth inning,’” Sports Grid’s Glenn Davis writes.
“Well, this play happened in the third, so . . . we’ll have to respectfully disagree.”
