With the news of President Obama's executive privilege announcement today, the entire unfolding plot of Operation Fast and Furious has taken a significant turn. Fox News is reporting that the White House is asserting executive privilege because documents in question cover "internal deliberations" about the gunwalking operation. This claim doesn't exactly fit with Obama's previous assertions that the White House has no knowledge of the operation.
