College Basketball Star Trademarks His...Unibrow

Talk about making lemonade from the lemons that life gives you! One young man is about to earn big bucks from his famous "unibrow."

University of Kentucky's Anthony Davis is known for his prowess on the basketball court. In fact, Davis was key to leading the Kentucky Wildcats to the NCAA championship this spring, and most experts believe he will be the #1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

Anthony Davis is also known for having a substantial eyebrow ("unibrow") that spans his entire forehead. And he's decided to cash in on it.

CNBC reports that Davis has registered for trademarks related to his famous facial feature. The two key trademarked phrases? "Fear The Brow" and "Raise The Brow."

During his college days, Anthony did not want to risk losing his amateur status by selling merchandise with his famous furry brow. However, now that he is about to turn pro, the merchandising mechanism is ramping up, and Davis told CNBC:

“I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it.”

We wonder if Mr. Davis knows that he is not the first unibrowed human on the planet. The wisegeek.com reports that unibrows have their own support group complete with a motto, "don't tweeze to please."

Heck, there are even unibrowed Muppets and animated characters.
