Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) rolled up his sleeves Friday to help with "Restoring Love," paying no attention to the sweltering Dallas heat.

"Glenn made a wonderful call...you can't come together and talk about restoring love in America without talking about, as a servant, helping our friends. This is an area of Dallas that needs help," Gohmert said.

"You see so many people and it's just so crazy...there's no other way to explain it, it's just a blessing," Blaze contributor Lisa Paige remarked.

After explaining his role in government, Gohmert concluded: "As individuals, the government's supposed to keep us safe so that we can go about loving our brother, being meek, being peacemakers...Two different roles, and I really kind of enjoy this role better."
