A (tentative) schedule for the first three days of the Republican National Convention next week (Aug. 27-30) is up and can be seen here.
Things you should know...
--Official roll call to nominate Mitt Romney for president and Paul Ryan as vice president will take place Monday. The process is beginning earlier than has happened in the past, according to the AP, "in part because of concerns about supporters of libertarian Texas Rep. Ron Paul, Republican officials said Thursday."
--Romney's convention speech is expected to be delivered Thursday.
--Notable Monday speakers: Speaker John Boehner, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.), Senate Candidate Ted Cruz (Tx.), South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Mike Huckabee, Ann Romney.**
--**Because ABC, NBC and CBS have all indicated they won't be airing convention coverage on Monday, Politico reports Ann Romney's speech may be moved from that day to Tuesday.
--Notable Tuesday speakers: Congressional Candidate Mia Love, Rick Santorum, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
--Notable Wednesday speakers: Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Rob Portman (Ohio), Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Condoleezza Rice, Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan.
