Sen. Mike Lee of Utah is one of the Republican Party's rising stars in the Senate, and a respected voice on constitutional conservatism in Washington D.C.. A former Assistant U.S. Attorney in Salt Lake City and once clerk for Judge Samuel Alito, Sen. Lee has been lauded by the conservative Club For Growth, having received a 100 percent lifetime rating on the organization's congressional scorecard. Another freshman senator receiving that top rating, and one of Sen. Lee's closest allies on Capitol Hill, is Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
Sen. Lee joined "Real News" Thursday to discuss his road to conservatism, thoughts on constitutional law and campaigning, the Supreme Court ruling on Affordable Care Act, Mormonism, and his colleague Rand Paul's speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday.
