Violent Fight Erupts Between Texans & 49ers Fans at a Pre-Season Game

"They need to make security better..."

The incident you are about to see occurred on Aug. 18 during a Texans-49ers pre-season game. Like many bleacher brawls, what caused the fight will probably remain known only to those who were in the immediate vicinity.

What starts off as trash-talking quickly snowballs into a brawl of about a dozen people with violent punches being thrown and one woman even jumping onto someone's back.

KHOU reports that those who have seen the footage say they are stunned security didn't break up the fight sooner. Others say this type of behavior among fans shouldn't occur in the first place:

“They need to make security better here at Reliant. You never know what’s going to happen,” said Ashley Banks.

Some passed judgment, wondering why the fight wasn’t broken up sooner. Others acknowledged how difficult it must be to deal with unruly fans.

“I think people have to keep themselves under control. The stadium can’t do everything,” said Nyisha.

KHOU states it is unclear what action, if any, has been taken against those involved in the incident.
