Glenn Beck Lambastes Obama & Dems for Ignoring the Real 'War on Women' in Egypt

"There is a war and it is real and it is happening in Egypt under the leadership that this president and his administration has been praising..."

This morning, Glenn Beck tackled what he dubbed the real "War on Women." Contrary to Democrats' claims that Republicans in America are unfairly attacking and hampering women's rights, the popular radio host said that very real and violent attacks aimed at women are, indeed, happening in Egypt -- and that the Obama administration is complicit.

"They are holding the Muslim Brotherhood up to a standard that is unreasonable," Beck said of federal officials, going on to highlight some disturbing recent events.

To begin, Beck highlighted the fact that Egypt shut the nation's last worship synagogue down, purportedly for Jews' own protection. Then, he highlighted disturbing reports coming out of the country that Christians are being crucified.

"There is a war on women going on in the world today," Beck said. "There is a war and it is real and it is happening in Egypt under the leadership that this president and his administration has been praising and encouraging and now sending your hard-earned tax dollars over to support."

GlennBeck.com has more about the host's views on the matter:

As much as the far left and the media would like to make Christians look like the guilty party in this war, they’re not. In fact, throughout history Christians have largely led the charge equal rights for women. It’s the countries that reject faith in God and, in particular, reject Christianity, that you see rights begin to disappear from women and minorities.

If the left had a country that embraced Christianity and religious freedom and persecuted women and minorities, don’t you think they would constantly use it as an example? Instead they’re obsessed with a thirty second audio clip of Rep. Todd Akin making a stupid comment.

The fact is, there isn’t a war on women’s health, abortion, birth control, or any of the other ridiculous claims coming from the far left, like Glenn pointed out on radio this morning. The war on women is in the Middle East.

In the end, Beck proclaimed that the situation in Egypt is a direct result of Obama's policies. The host also took aim at the Democrats' removal of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and God from their platform (moves that the Democrats did an about-face on this afternoon).
