Huh? MSNBC Host Says Obama 'Said Nothing' Then Claims He 'Connected Himself With the American Dream

President Obama delivered what has been referred to as a "stale," "flat," and "empty" renomination speech Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention.

And among those whose initial reaction to his address was less-than-flattering was MSNBC host Joe Scarborough:

"The President said nothing in his speech tonight. But he said it so much better than Mitt Romney when he said nothing in Tampa," Scarborough tweeted.

But that was then, this is now. Less than 24 hours after President Obama's speech, Scarborough claims the president "connected himself with the American dream for the first time."

Huh? A speech that "said nothing" connected with the American dream? We’re so confused.

"A lot of people, myself included, wondered, 'does he really get it?' Does he really understand it?'" Scarborough said. "[The President and his family] are the American dream."

Well, that was fast.
