Utah Congressional Candidate Mia Love Joins 'Wilkow!

One of the biggest stars to come to light on the national stage during this year's Republican National Convention was Utah congressional candidate Mia Love, who delivered one of the most well-received speeches of the event. Since August, Love has continued to ascend in national prominence as she attempts to unseat six-term Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson. The latest polling shows the Saratoga Springs mayor to have overcome a double-digit deficit and now finds herself up six points over the incumbent.

If elected, Love would be the first black female, Republican elected to Congress. This prospect has brought both excitement and intolerance, as Love has received racist photos featuring the KKK at her campaign office. The DCCC has come out and actually issued a disclaimer in this race, encouraging attacks on Love’s budget rather than spending and tying her to Romney and Ryan since her district is largely conservative.
