Sununu battles Obama's 'groupies on television

On CNN's Starting Point today, Romney Campaign Co-Chair John Sununu said there are "groupies on television" defending President Obama's foreign policy record.

In last night's presidential debate, Mitt Romney said Obama did not immediately call the attack on a U.S. embassy in Libya an "act of terror." The phrase actually did turn up in Obama's initial address on the matter and it was pointed out by the debate moderator Candy Crowley.

"It took a couple of weeks before [the Obama administration was] able to get their story together," Anchor Soledad O'Brien said. "But in that moment [of the debate] you see Governor Romney looking very confused about this 'act of terror' line. Wasn't that a big loss?"

"No," Sununu said, "because what he did is put this into the conversation again. And now people understand that the president and his ambassador to the U.N. And Jay Carney and all the apologists for this White House and all the groupies on television that are trying to cover his butt have been lying about the president trying to deceive America."
