Jay Leno's Halloween Costume Idea: 'Wear a Re-Elect Obama Button and Go Out as a Journalist

Scrounging for a cheap, last-minute Halloween costume? "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno's got you covered.

"Here is a very inexpensive costume idea," Leno said Friday. “Wear a re-elect Obama button and go out as a journalist.”

While Leno cracked himself up with the joke, he apparently sensed his audience's uncertainty. When they did laugh, Leno turned to his band leader and said, "took a while."

Of course, you wouldn't even need an Obama button if you were lucky enough to grab a spoof "Journalists for Obama" T-shirt at the Democratic National Convention last month.
