The Romney campaign on Thursday released an ad knocking President Obama for his recent “Secretary of Business” comments.
“His solution to everything is to add another bureaucrat,” the ad states. “Why not have a president who actually understands business?”
Later that morning, the GOP candidate reiterated his video's message:
Romney and his ad are referring to recent remarks the president made during an interview with MSNBC’s Mika Brezezinski and Joe Scarborough:
I’ve said that I want to consolidate a whole bunch of government agencies. We should have one Secretary of Business, instead of nine different departments that are dealing with things like giving loans to SBA [the Small Business Administration] or helping companies with exports.
We can only imagine how Rebecca Blank, the current Secretary of Commerce (you know, that federal post whose job it is to “foster, promote, and develop the foreign and domestic commerce"), feels about all of this.
