CNN tops election cable ratings race

Between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. CNN had the highest ratings among its cable news competitors, Fox News and MSNBC. From CNN, according to Nielsen ratings:

CNN               8.836 million total viewers
FNC                8.708 million total viewers
MSNBC          4.604 million total viewers
