Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers traded more fire and tough cease-fire proposals Monday, and threatened to escalate their border conflict if diplomacy fails. No deal appeared near. Additionally, reports of 75,000 Israeli reservists being called up for a possible ground invasion of Gaza have only made the situation more tense over the past few of days.

As things continue to escalate between Israel and Gaza's Hamas leaders, this infographic from the Jerusalem Fund, a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit that seeks to "give voice to the Palestinian narrative," displays how outmatched the militant Palestinian groups in Gaza really are when it comes to firepower and manpower.

While Israel has Hamas in Gaza dead to rights when it comes to military strength, the U.S. State Department designated the group as a terrorist organization for a reason -- the group is still a violent and dangerous force in the region.
