Want to See the World's Tightest Parallel Parking Job?

Germany’s Ronny Wechselberger in June made automotive history when he performed the world’s tightest parallel parking job -- and the Guinness Book of World Records people were there to document it:

“The tightest parallel park is 14 cm (5.51 in) and was achieved by Ronny Wechselberger aka Ronny C' Rock … at Flugplatz Kindel in Eisenach, Germany, on 18 June 2012,” the video’s YouTube description reads.

“The feat was recorded for the TV show GUINNESS WORLD RECORD,” the description adds.

So how did Wechselberger pull it off?

“Ronny used a VW Up with a length of 3.54 m (11 ft 7.37 in), which he parked into a 3.68-cm-long (12 ft 0.88 in) space, marked by two other Ups,” the video explains. “The distance was measured electronically with a laser device as well as a measuring tape.”

Huh.

You know, even though the above is technically the world record, we can’t help but feel that it lacks a certain something. Maybe style? Style like pulling off a brakeslide parking job with a beat up 1974 Dodge Monaco:
