You know about Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, but did you know that the Monday after Thanksgiving is Cyber Monday -- a day for great deals in online shopping? It's a great time to get in some holiday shopping, all from the comfort of your couch (or when the boss isn't looking in the office).
But this year's Cyber Monday will be different from all the rest. Online shopping's new twist: Taxes.
For the first time since the dawn of e-commerce, residents in California, Texas and Pennsylvania will be automatically charged state sales tax at the checkout on Amazon and some other online retail websites. Next year, Virginia and New Jersey residents will join them, followed by residents of Nevada, Indiana and Tennessee in January 2014.
Do you plan to do any online shopping today? There's good news for you: LJ went loco (again) which means you can get TheBlaze merch on sale today!
